Hello!!!
Long time, no talk.
First of all...I'm sorry I disappeared for a while. I definitely owe you all an update.
I also know I left my testimony unfinished (oops ๐ ), and I promise I haven't forgotten about it. My plan is to finish sharing that story before I leave, because it's such a big part of how God brought me to this season. Thank you for being patient with me while life has been moving at full speed.
Back in May, I quit my nannying job and started waitressing full-time at Geneva National. In my head, I had this beautiful picture of what my summer would look like: work a lot, save some money, slowly prepare for my mission, and enjoy one last "normal" summer before leaving.
Well...Life had other plans. ๐
This summer has been anything but slow. Between working as much as I can, preparing to move across the world, checking off endless to-do lists, saying goodbye to people I love, and trying to soak in every last moment, life has felt like a whirlwind. Somewhere in the middle of all of that, my blog updates accidentally fell to the bottom of the priority list.
But now...the countdown is REAL.
I leave in just 35 days.
Some days I can hardly contain my excitement, and other days the reality of everything I still have to do feels a little overwhelming. I bounce between "I can't believe this is happening!" and "How am I going to get everything done?" more times than I'd like to admit.
The biggest praise report is that my mission trip is fully funded! I am beyond grateful for every person who has prayed, encouraged me, and generously gave to make this possible. I truly wouldn't be here without this incredible community, and I'm constantly reminded of God's faithfulness through all of you.
As departure gets closer, though, I'm realizing that preparing for a season like this involves so much more than just the trip itself. While my ministry expenses are covered, there are still a lot of personal preparations happening behind the scenes.
Over the next few weeks, I'm working to sell and pay off my car, purchase the rest of the gear I'll need for the field, receive multiple required (and very expensive!) vaccines, and continue paying down personal debt before I leave. It's a lot to navigate all at once, and if I'm being honest, it's been one of the more stressful parts of preparing.
Even so, I keep coming back to the same truth: God has provided every step of the way. Looking back over this journey, I've seen His faithfulness over and over again, often in ways I never expected. Because of that, I'm choosing to trust Him with these next 35 days too.
Your prayers mean more to me than I can express, and I would be so grateful if you continued to pray for me as I prepare to leave. And if, after reading this, you still feel God calling you to support me in these final weeks, I'd love to connect with you. Since my trip itself is fully funded, any support would simply help with these remaining personal preparations before I leave. You can always reach me at manystops1destination@gmail.com.
Thank you for celebrating this season with me, for cheering me on, and for being part of this journey. I truly couldn't do this alone, and I'm so excited to share what God does in these final 35 days and beyond.
35 days...let's do this. โค๏ธ
